For our immediate honeymoon I have planned a few nights just around the Northwest for Annie and I. The locations won't be known by Annie as I want it to be a surprise for her. Since we won't have a lot of time off from work, and school, we decided that we would postpone our "real" honeymoon till next Spring/Summer. All the money from our Honeymoon Registries will go towards our "real" honeymoon this Spring/Summer.
For our "real" honeymoon we hope to spend about a month traveling the East Coast by car. We hope to road trip down the east coast visiting small towns, neat beaches, hiking trails and staying in local hotels. The trip would start in Portland, Maine and head South until we reach the Coast of North Carolina where Annie's aunt owns a home (that hopefully she will let us use). Neither of us has spent a lot of time on the East Coast and would love to get to know it from a less touristy perspective and more of a local perspective by keeping our agenda more open and flexible. This means we don't have exact hotels, dinners, or stops planned, just a rough overarching plan.
